First grants awarded for children's music tuition
Thousands of children throughout Scotland will soon be singing or learning an instrument following First Minister Jack McConnell’s £17.5 million pledge to provide access to free music tuition for all schoolchildren for a year by the time they are in Primary Six.

Music touring Tunes Up
more music....more people....more places....more of the time! Capercaillie, Radio Tarifa, Biffy Clyro, Altan and the Paragon Ensemble are among a host of bands which will be touring across Scotland next spring thanks to a new Scottish Arts Council lottery funded touring programme called Tune Up.
