What is Own Art?

Own Art is designed to make buying contemporary art and craft easy and affordable. Participating galleries offer paintings, sculptures, prints, artists' film and video, artists' new media work, photography, jewellery, metalwork, ceramics, glass, furniture and textiles.

To make a purchase through Own Art, you will need a bank account that can handle direct debits, proof of identity with your address on it, and you will also need to be over 18.

Currently, approximately 40 galleries across Scotland participate in the Own Art scheme, and the Scottish Arts Council is continually expanding the number of galleries taking part. Browse through the list of participating galleries.
