Own Art

Buy contemporary art and craft with a loan (typical 0% APR)

Own Art is a scheme offering interest-free credit for people to buy contemporary art and craft.

You will need a bank account that can handle direct debits, proof of identity with your address on it, and you will also need to be over 18.

These notes form a general guide only and do not constitute any formal contract or offer.  Offer subject to age and status. Terms and conditions apply.

Information for galleries - due to changes in the operational structure of Own Art, we regret that Scottish Arts Council is currently unable to accept new applications from galleries for membership of the scheme. We hope to be able to re-open the scheme to new applicants later this year. Further information and updates will be published on this page as and when the situation changes.

For further enquiries from galleries about membership, please email Lottie Gerrard, Visual Arts Administrator or telephone on 0131 226 6051.
